POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring all jobs are moved into production with accurate data, and in accordance with production timelines as set out by the Production Coordinator. It will be necessary to coordinate with all Sales Representatives in all locations as well as the scheduling and CAD departments. Collaborating and communicating with other departments is essential to ensure that work is completed correctly and efficiently in accordance with Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. policies and procedures.

  • Excellent clerical skills together with computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills to coordinate all aspects of production administration
  • Must be able to work accurately with attention to detail, to ensure that jobs are quickly and efficiently completed
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally
  • Commitment to Health and Safety and abiding by all MOL, ESA, AODA, OHRC, and OHSA requirements and other applicable federal or provincial legislation.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate and coordinate with Sales Representatives in all Stonex locations
  • Read and update job notes in SPS program when required
  • Work daily with the SPS program to complete daily tasks
  • Contact the customer to finalize job prior to production
  • Read, evaluate and interpret designs and drawings
  • Translate and convert hand drawings and sketches into the CAD system
  • Proofread and ensure that all details and descriptions are included in the drawings e.g. measurements, sink, cook top, faucet, holes
  • Document and update all drawings
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Complete assigned paperwork as required by the Production Coordinator
  • Document process flows by creating SOP for review and approval by the Production Coordinator
  • Participate in department meetings and training as required by the Production Coordinator
  • All other tasks as directed by the Production Coordinator
