Description:
The Production and Operations Coordinator will be covering the role of the Production Assistant Manager while she is on maternity leave. This role will involve a combination of administrative, operational, and safety-related tasks, while also providing support across various production areas, including onboarding, training, health and safety, and overseeing daily production activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a strong attention to detail. The position will provide coverage for key roles during staff absences and ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the production studio.
Studio hours are 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time, onsite hourly position.

SKILLS AND ASSETS:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in production or operations coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or jewelry production environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including WHMIS and MSDS.
- Experience with onboarding and staff training.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment but also able to work independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
- Organize production workflows, track priority tasks, and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate onboarding, training, and health and safety activities, including updating materials information and conducting walkthroughs.
- Provide operational coverage during absences and assist with inventory management and supply distribution.
- Oversee quality control by inspecting products and supporting process improvements.
- Proactively identify ways to improve workflow and take on additional tasks as needed to support team and production success.
