Description Main Responsibilities: Production: Directly manage an assembly department and a team of bike builders that produce 50 to 100 bicycles per day. Maintain compliance with labor law, OSHA and company safety policies Conduct daily audits on assembled bikes Help establish and track Builder KPIs to maintain accountability and identify training opportunities for the Bike Builders Review Bike Build feedback from stores, develop improvement plans, and report back to stores on corrective steps taken Warranty: Move warranty items through the RTV process quickly, keeping the on-hand value of the RTV inventory location as low as possible Refine and improve existing systems to achieve department goals Keep the warranty dept. organized and conduct inventory cycle counts Initiate warranty and recall procedures that comply with our vendors requirements Receive and process incoming transfers from stores Reinforce best practices to stores as needed based on warranty validity Receive replacement warranty product from vendors and return to open stock Requirements Skills and Qualifications: People and production management skills Clear, proactive, professional communication at all times Strong knowledge of bicycles, bike parts and accessories Knowledge of bike repair with the ability to specify replacement parts Time management: Goal setting, multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines Computer skills: Basic file management, Google docs, MS Word and Excel, POS Work productively with little direct supervision The ability to create and maintain organizational systems for inventory and workspace Able to lift heavy materials (at least 50 lbs.), bend and stand for long periods of time Able to work collaboratively with subordinates, peers and management.
