Description Who is Harmar? We manufacture wheelchair lifts for automobiles, stair lifts for the home and residential and commercial vertical platform lifts. We sell to dealers and to the government. Ultimately our products give people access to their homes and allow them to become more mobile. We say, “We Lift Lives”. Monday - Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm. (Two Fridays required OT per month) Job Duties We are currently looking for someone on the assembly line using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, blueprints, work instructions and test equipment, perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test production assemblies and devices. calibrate assemblies to meet tolerances, product specifications and work instructions. Work to achieve daily production schedule and to ensure the customer receives the highest quality product possible. Read/Write English - Bilingual is a plus. Be able to complete and pass a background and drug test (including THC) Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures. Be able to stand in small space for 10-hour shift. Be able to consistently lift/pack 50-70 lb. Report and/or record any problems with parts and/or final assembly product or process to lead person and /or production manager or quality assurance personnel. Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed. 5s - maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Report component part shortages to the Manufacturing and Production Managers, and the Purchasing Coordinator as soon as they are detected. Assess adequacy of component part stocking levels. Maintain established kanbans. Creates plan for assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience. Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products, units, machines, equipment, and/or subassemblies. Mounts and connects mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fits pipe and tubing. Removes small quantities of metal, using hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill. Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools. Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement. May align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears. May operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation. May test or assist in testing operation of completed product. Pack and build pallet to prepare product to ship out. Other duties/stations as assigned. Requirements Read/Write English - Bilingual is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent Work experience in a manufacturing environment beneficial.
