Description

We are currently looking for a hardworking, charismatic individual to join our team as a Production Assembler at our Guelph, Ontario location.
The Production Assembler will work with our assembly team and build OEM hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies per customer specifications.
Shift: Monday to Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to organize and plan workload, in conjunction with Manager/Supervisor.
  • Flexible, ability to adjust plans according to customer assembly requirements and quality initiatives.
  • Familiar with the use of power tools, hand trucks, pallet jacks and other necessary production and warehouse equipment.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, and methodic work ethic.
  • Follow safety protocols and all production and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Team player, willing to assist in other departments as required.
  • Previous experience in a production and warehouse setting or similar environment.
  • Strong Inventory skills, knowledge of production, and warehouse systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Physical stamina, dexterity for type of work, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and use custom in-house hose kitting software for measuring and consistency.
  • Inspect and clean hose utilizing foam projectiles.
  • Adjust machines to proper setting and operate automated hose saw, pneumatic cylinder pusher for crimp fittings, and power crimper.
  • Assemble industrial hoses per customer specification, such as, cap hose with plastic cap or heat-shrink clean seal caps, spiral wrap hoses using heat-shrink or install nylon sleeves with banded clamps, and crimp shell to eliminate exposed hose.
  • Check and monitor processing conditions and product quality, including hose configuration, crimp diameter, and ensure crimp fittings are fully inserted.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards, visually or using instruments.
  • Pressure test hose using hydrostatic test bench.
  • Affix seals or tags to approved products and mark and reroute defective products for repair or recycle.
  • Fill out product inspection report.
  • Make minor adjustments or repairs to products.
  • Train or assist in training new workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
