POSITION TITLE: Production Assembler
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Prepare bulk fiber optic cable for further assembly and splice a variety of fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.?
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately identify colors and exhibit strong hand-eye coordination
  • Precision in tasks require visual detail and manual dexterity.
  • General assembly experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Work collaboratively and independently in an interruptive environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of part sizes and weights
  • Extensive dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movement
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, basic arithmetic skill.

    SHIFT:?Monday-Friday, 8-hour flexibility shift between the hours of (6am-6pm).
Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of fiber optic cables for further assembly steps:

  • Read order instructions and review drawings to determine work steps.
  • Follow process instructions and quality guidelines.
  • Use small manual and power hand tools.
  • Operate splicing equipment to fasten connectors to fiber optic cable.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Accepts work direction from supervisor, lead, engineer, and co-workers.
  • Exceed and maintain labor requirements.
  • Communicate within-group on workflow status.

Perform miscellaneous tasks

  • Be flexible and prioritize work orders.
  • Crosstrain in all department work cells.
  • Help instruct co-workers and subcontract personnel.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain safety requirements.
  • Identify worn tools and maintain tools in good working order.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Support filling pick lists and work orders from inventory as needed
