PRODUCTION ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

Responsibilities of the Production Assistant Controller

  • Serve as a liaison between production, planning, purchasing, and quality to ensure seamless execution of production plans
  • Assess and respond to deviations in production timelines, including labor shortages, equipment issues, or material delays
  • Release shop orders consistent with the master production schedule
  • Monitor shop order progress through completion, communicating risks and impact on production schedule
  • Coordinate with planning and procurement to ensure material availability for planned and released orders
  • Coordinate with the stock room team to reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy

Qualifications of the Production Assistant Controller

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar position
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MRP systems; Microsoft AX is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen
