Description Temporary Production Scheduler (February–August) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Status: Temporary role to cover FMLA leave (exact duration based on business needs and employee leave timelines) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Production Scheduler to support our manufacturing operations during an FMLA leave period from February through August. The individual in this role will work closely with production, sales, purchasing, and shipping to build and maintain effective production schedules across multiple product lines. Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changes within the manufacturing environment are essential. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Scheduling & Production Planning Analyze customer orders, delivery dates, staffing levels, equipment capabilities, and inventory availability to develop actionable production schedules. Prioritize workflow to ensure customer deadlines are met. Adjust schedules as needed due to changing conditions (equipment breakdowns, delayed materials, etc.). Integrate sales orders with the master schedule and coordinate equipment and staffing availability. Identify opportunities to streamline scheduling processes and reduce production costs. Prepare reports comparing expected vs. actual output and highlight areas for improvement. Cross-Functional Coordination Schedule demand based on product mix and provide accurate lead times to the sales team in partnership with the Senior Production Scheduler. Assemble master schedule reports aligned with business, shipment, inventory, and production plans. Participate in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting. Collaborate with purchasing to compare current and anticipated orders with raw material inventories and proactively communicate material needs. Alert relevant staff of schedule changes, delays, or capacity constraints. Participate in forecasting meetings and lead planning sessions with sales, purchasing, production, and shipping. Assist with capacity planning for the annual operating plan. Set up and maintain work centers and work groups in the ERP system. Track and report on-time delivery performance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements 1–2 years of related production scheduling or planning experience required. Experience with production planning or scheduling software preferred. Prior experience in the window or building-products manufacturing industry strongly preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning workflows. Core Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed. Compensation: $17- $23 per hour.
