Description Job Summary The Production Assistant — Lamination Emphasis provides support across production operations with a primary focus on lamination. This role assists with setting up and supporting lamination processes, handling materials, inspecting parts for quality, and performing general production tasks. The position may be assigned to other departments as business needs change, but will be primarily utilized in Lamination. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Learn and follow work order instructions, job bags, and quality standards. Assist with lamination processes including hand application of adhesives and guiding materials. Support operation of lamination-related equipment such as back splitters, corner rounders, and grommet machines. Cut and prepare raw materials to required measurements. Inspect overlays, windows, and assembled parts for clarity, accuracy, alignment, and finish. Waste strip, de-slug, and package parts according to specifications. Report discrepancies, imperfections, or material issues to appropriate personnel. Maintain daily production records and inventory tags when assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all plant safety procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production goals. Requirements Qualifications Required Skills & Competencies Ability to understand and follow work orders and written procedures. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production tools/equipment. Ability to read and use a ruler for measurement. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate across departments. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 months of related experience preferred or equivalent training. Experience in lamination, printing, or manufacturing a plus. Ability to judge color, clarity, and print quality. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and safety guidelines. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and resolve routine issues. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials. Frequent bending, stooping, or kneeling. Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds. Visual acuity required for inspection and reading work orders. Work Environment Moderate noise typical of manufacturing setting. Exposure to moving production equipment and adhesives. PPE may be required based on task.
