Reporting to the Production Manager, we are looking for a dynamic and well-experienced Production Assistant Manager who will be the right arm of the Production Manager. The incumbent will not be shy about rolling up their sleeves to help lead and improve production activities, ensuring optimal efficiency and meeting fulfillment targets. Previous culinary experience may also give you an advantage.

SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:

The regular hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, however, flexibility is required to accommodate business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Min 3 years’ previous leadership experience is required.
  • Previous experience working with food processing equipment ideal
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, direct and train 30-50 staff as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English).
  • Good understanding of logistics and Warehouse Management Systems (SBT)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, mainly Excel.
  • Ability to safely bend, twist and lift to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
Responsibilities
  • Managing the daily activities of the Production team in delivering high-quality products for our customers and achieving team targets
  • Coordinating the daily planning and execution of production activities across multiple shifts with supervisors
  • Leading team meetings with employees to review objectives, service levels, quality concerns, productivity, and allocation of duties
  • Effectively managing the recruitment, training and development, labour allocation, and performance of Production personnel
  • Regularly reviewing work progress and communicating frequently with the team to ensure collaboration, direction, and resolution.
  • Taking direction and guidance from the Production Manager and regularly updating them on department activities.
