See www.whedco.org for more information. Job Summary: Production Assistant will provide support for all technical and staging aspects of events. This will include stage setup and strike, basic Audio, Video and Lighting (AVL) set up and operations, and other basic theater operations, to ensure efficient and seamless performances. Responsibilities: Technical Setup & Operation: Assist with set up and stage strike Assist with set up and operation of audio, video and lighting equipment Assist with maintainance and organization of equipment, ensuring all gear is neatly and safely stored after performances in accordance with venue protocols Assist with sound checks and technical rehearsals Learn all available tech Event Support: Attend event pre-production meetings to receive direction from Managing Director, Technical Associate or other venue staff for duties/responsibilities for each event to ensure optimal event execution Assist with troubleshooting issues as they arise Other Duties: Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor, including light errands and cleaning Attend weekly production meetings as needed WHEDco affords all qualified applicants equal employment opportunities without discrimination because of race, creed (religion), color, sex, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, age, disability, predisposing genetic characteristic, marital status or domestic violence victim status, or any other category protected by law. Qualifications Qualifications: A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience Previous live music and video production experience required Strong problem-solving skills Customer/Artist service orientation Willingness to learn and adapt Team oriented and willingness to assist others Must be able to take direction and execute instruction accurately Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays on a Part-Time basis
