Description Legacy Mutual Mortgage is an outstanding full service residential mortgage lender originating, underwriting and closing conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans. Our team members are the key to Legacy’s success, and we are looking for highly motivated, qualified individuals to join our talented team. Essential Functions Include: Attends closings on behalf or with Loan Officer (when required/available). Enters and prepares loan application and disclosures in system to ensure it is within compliance guidelines. Sends list of items needed from borrower, prior to submitting file to Processor. Follows up on needs list to receive items back in a timely manner. Requests Production Associate I to complete their set-up of file, once initial review is completed. Researches all investor guidelines and is up-to-date in any and all changes that effect the processing or originating of loans in pipeline. Clears any conditions that require communication to clients or referring partners. Coordinates submitted files with Processing, Underwriting, and Closing to meet file expectations. Submits second liens to appropriate investors. Responsible to ensure all loans close on or before scheduled closing date. Responsible for cancellations and withdrawals on files that have received official handoff and are no longer processing. Re-discloses files. Maintains up-to-date pipelines at all times. Must maintain regular attendance. May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years of mortgage processing, underwriting, originating, or a combination of all aspects. Must be able to work 40 hours a week during normal business hours. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications. Must be proficient in Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator, Loan Prospector, and Originations systems. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a positive attitude and maintain professionalism. Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision. Must be proficient with major correspondent and wholesale channels and their guidelines, including their websites and pricing engines. Must be organized and detail oriented.
