Description Legacy Mutual Mortgage is an outstanding full service residential mortgage lender originating, underwriting and closing conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans. Our team members are the key to Legacy’s success, and we are looking for highly motivated, qualified individuals to join our talented team. Acts as an extension of the loan originator, attends functions with the loan originator, and assists the loan originator with other administrative and/or sales duties. Manage and follow up with all new and existing leads in a timely and accurate manner. Prequalifies clients to include discussing rate, terms and/or financial options. Provides needs list of all items for a complete loan application. Prepares pre-qualification/pre-approval/commitment letters. Enter loan application and disclosures information into a loan origination system. Meets with clients to sign Loan Application and Disclosures. Prices and locks all loans through origination system. Understands and researches all investor guidelines and is up-to-date in any and all program changes that affect the processing or originating of loans in pipeline. Submits complete files to Productions Associate II based on Investor and/or AUS requirements to get ready for submission to Underwriting. Communicates to Production Associate II all information pertaining to client and/or property to meet file expectations. Communicates loan approval by sending pre-approval/commitment letters to all parties involved in transaction. Responsible for once-a-week follow up calls/status calls to all parties involved in transaction (Clients, Realtors, Builder, etc.). Tracks and manages new leads and follows up on referral business. Sends out correspondence – thank you cards, closing cost calculators, etc. Coordinate closing details with Client – final payment, rate, cash to close, etc. Responsible for cancellations and withdrawals on files not in processing. Assist the Loan Originator with other administrative and/or sales duties as needed. May perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum five years of mortgage, processing, underwriting, originating experience or a combination of all aspects. Must be eligible for NMLS registration and licensing, or currently have an active Loan Origination NMLS. Must be able to work 40 hours a week during normal business hours. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications. Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and major Origination systems. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have a positive attitude. Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision. Proficient with major correspondent and wholesale channels and their guidelines.
