Description

Job Summary Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality, safety, and productivity requirements in a manufacturing environment, with direct guidance. The role supports Cummins’ commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) * Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards. * Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards. * Comply with Cummins HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations. * Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. * Promote interdependence by looking out for the safety of others. * Correct hazards within scope of control and capability. * Understand environmental impacts of work and minimize negative effects. * Actively participate in required HSE training. Quality * Follow all standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures. * Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials. * Raise quality issues to minimize cost and quality risks. * Ensure adherence to quality standards across operations. Delivery & Productivity * Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to meet customer requirements. * Achieve production targets and work at required cycle times or engineering standards. * Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined shop floor, including housekeeping and machine cleaning. * Perform planned operator care and basic maintenance activities. * Remain flexible to perform additional duties and work in rotational shifts as required. * Collaborate with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to identify and address equipment issues. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement * Communicate effectively with team members and support functions. * Participate in training and personal development aligned with business needs. * Contribute to initiatives that improve safety, quality, process efficiency, material flow, and employee development.
