Want to join an entrepreneurial and diverse team, where you feel you are a part of something greater? Creation Vancouver is looking to invest in you! We’re looking for a detail-oriented, electronics manufacturing savvy, Production Associate for Afternoon Shift (6-months contract).

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • You need to be legally eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada as full-time employee
  • Color identification required (color vision test will be conducted as part of interview)
  • Offer of employment contingent on successful background check
  • This is a fixed term full-time position, 6 months
  • Shift: Afternoon (Monday to Friday, 3:30PM-12midnight)
  • Wage: $19.50 per hour + 10% afternoon shift premium
Responsibilities
  • Manual assembly of electronic components including complex and high-density projects according to assembly documents, custom specs and quality standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality assurance standards and internal standard operating procedures
  • Component preparation, placement, and installation
  • Perform inspection and rework of mechanical assemblies and custom parts as per engineering specification and respective IPC workmanship standards
  • Participate in training and certification programs to ensure knowledge and skillset requirements are met
  • Operate various types of equipment aiding in the assembly process
  • Set-up, operate, calibrate, and maintain test station as per procedure
  • Complete test logs and provide feedback related to test yields
  • Test the functionality of products using various test tools, document and provide feedback to team members to prevent future discrepancies
  • Utilize test equipment such as multimeters, among others including PC based programming
  • Perform hand soldering and rework of all thru-hole (TH), surface mount technology (SMT), mixed and mechanical assemblies and custom parts as per Engineering specifications and IPC workmanship standards
  • Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required
  • Effectively communicate issues among other team members for prevention and corrections.
