JOB SUMMARY

The Inclusive Storytelling Hub, a new initiative at the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters, seeks a creative, self-motivated video production and research assistant for the 2025 academic year. Priority will be given to majors in the Journalism and Media Production program, but all students are welcome to apply. This position may be combined with course credit through the History and Humanities internship program. The pay rate is $18 per hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Experience in media production courses or in the field of audio/video production
• Knowledge of video and audio production workflows
• Familiarity with social media platforms and video content trends
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at UM-Dearborn

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
• Proficiency with Zoom audio recorders
• Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless camera operation
• Ability to stay with the position for the full academic year
