Description
Support in forecasting the demand for materials and services, and the timely placement of purchase orders. Act as a point of contact for vendors regarding order acknowledgment and confirmation. Maintain and update order promise dates regularly. Assist in resolving any pricing discrepancies with vendors. Provide support to production cells as needed. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to avoid shortages and excesses. Timely address and rectify issues related to invoicing and shipping. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with relevant laws and ethical standards. Identify cost savings opportunities in line with quality, service, and supply constraints Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for cost savings improvements through waste elimination. Working Conditions: (especially manufacturing and field service positions) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to keep information confidential Experience in Microsoft Office. Preferred bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Some experience in a purchasing role or similar position would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.
