Description
Utilize the Common Material Management System (CMMS) Inventory Management System to schedule assembly lines and to communicate to customers Sterling shipping intentions Follow up on VO shipments and distributions daily Support final balance outs and running changes to customers Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up, and min/max reporting to support production schedule Coordinate shipments to and from local suppliers/warehouses Correct shipping transactions and monitor/validate production counts and scrap transactions Perform cycle count analysis and control CMMS cycle entry Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records Assist with plant cycle schedule and count confirmation Respond to VO/PTO schedule changes, react to quality, shipping, and schedule changes Assist in managing bailment activities as the need arises Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required Manage and maintain MP&L Saftey Stock Database Coach and train a diverse team of hourly and salaried emps. on MP&L Safety Stock Database Established and active employee resource groups High School Diploma or GED Required 1+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio) Ability to analyze data and create reports desired Material Planning and Logistics experience desired Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Material Planning, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Packaging Proven track record of successfully interacting with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistic carriers, and production suppliers Experience working in a manufacturing environment Prior experience utilizing ERP systems Prior experience with data analytics tools preferred Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability Validated ability to work independently with limited supervision Self-starter, with a history of working under tight deadlines
