Description
As a Production Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing production processes within the production environment, ensuring that operations run efficiently, products are delivered on time, and resources are used effectively. This position includes managing inventory levels, coordinating between departments, ensuring production timelines are met, and addressing production issues. This position is crucial for ensuring smooth and efficient production operations and delivering high-quality forestry products on time. Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris (training to commence at 1556 Industrial Rd, Cambridge) Dedicated Day Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday Job Duties: Create and maintain machine build sheets Create and manage machine production orders based on provided sales configurations Coordinate the delivery of critical material with transfers, purchase order requests and the creation of production orders for sub-jobs Manage transactions in ERP system and determine route cause of errors Review and confirm machine job costs for accuracy Process engineering changes (ECNs), track and communicate production change effectiveness Process special modification notices (SMNs) to update machine jobs requiring special components, alternative or prototype parts Process sales changes for existing machine production orders, expediting the new material and providing a disposition for material that is no longer required Provide machine build documentation to the shop floor Skills and Experience: Must possess a positive attitude, good organizational and decision-making skills Education or equivalent experience in activities related to manufacturing, production planning and/or scheduling Able to manage competing demands and deal with frequent changes Strong attention to detail Accurately and efficiently manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control, production planning, D365 or other large ERP systems, and supply chain management Qualifications: Graduate of Mechanical Technician / Technologist Program or Material / Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Project Management Courses considered an asset Experience in SolidWorks suite of products. Knowledge of production processes in an ERP system including inventory control, production control and supply chain management Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Proficiency in common PC software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
