Job Details Job Location: Lewisville, TX 75057 Position Type: Full Time The Production Control Manager at VIVA Railings is responsible for managing the day-to-day planning, scheduling, and monitoring of production activities to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and reliably. This role plays a critical part in balancing total demand, competitive lead times, and on-time delivery (OTD) while supporting capacity growth initiatives. Working cross-functionally with purchasing, production, warehouse, and project management teams, the Production Control Manager optimizes workflows across both in-house manufacturing and outsourced partners. This role drives continuous improvement in production planning and supply chain processes to support the successful delivery of custom architectural metal and glass railing systems. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and oversee production schedules aligned with customer requirements and internal goals. Adjust schedules proactively to address delays, resource shortages, or changes in demand. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and other outsource strategies. Process Monitoring & Optimization Implement capacity planning tools allowing optimization of supply chain to meet customer needs and company growth objectives. Implement monitoring tools to identify inefficiencies, waste, and inventory issues preventing delivery and meeting demand. Monitor production processes to ensure throughput, efficiency, and quality meet customer needs. Recommend improvements to Director and their team. Resource Management Allocate resources effectively across departments to meet production targets. Manage outsource capacity to meet customer needs (make vs. buy decisions). Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Facilitate communication between production teams, project manager, sales and senior management (S&OP). Collaborate with stakeholders to develop best practices in production planning. Reporting & Compliance Provide regular reports on production activities, performance metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation of production schedules, inventory, and performance data. Measures of Success and Key Performance Indicators Capacity vs. Demand balance Lead Time On Time Delivery (Supplier and In-house) Qualifications Experience: Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Skills: 3-5+ years of experience in production control or discrete manufacturing operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and production scheduling tools.
