Schedule: Part Time Shift: Days The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital Conveniently located near Walt Disney World The team is here is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties AdventHealth Kissimmee has recently expanded our existing tower by 3-floors and 80-beds, including new ancillary spaces such as Inpatient Rehab, Inpatient Dialysis, Laboratory, and Imaging services. The role you’ll contribute: Actively participates in an outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Under the direction of the Managing chef, responsible for preparation of all foods and related items for cafeteria and\or catering customers and\ or food for patients. Ensures that all food production is produced according to recipe specifications and proper procedures. Ensures that all products meet standards for quality, taste, appearance and freshness. Records product temperatures and monitors holding times as appropriate. Meets all production deadlines. Demonstrates cost conscious behaviors in all aspects. Adheres to all sanitation, safety, cleanliness and food storage standards. Assists with serving customers and provides world-class customer service. Adheres to all sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards; monitors and records food and/or equipment temperatures. Continually checks food for quality, taste, appearance and freshness. Takes corrective action when needed. Minimizes food waste by preparing the amount needed, without running out; ensures proper portioning. Is proactive to prepare substitutions for foods that may run out; effectively and proactively communicates those shortages and substitutions to the appropriate people Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure a smooth operation of the department.
