THE OPPORTUNITY

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an organized Production Coordinator to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. As the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating production plans and schedules to drive down order cycle times, increase order throughput, and meet delivery timelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, operations management, or a related field
  • Experience in a heavy equipment or vehicle dealership environment is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including strong knowledge of Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

As the Production Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create a weekly production report outlining status, changes, risks, or delays
  • Remove obstacles that arise from delays, defects or missing information and drive solutions to unexpected delays
  • Effectively organize equipment preparation across multiple Leavitt branches
  • Continually update delivery dates and freight timelines to manage order cycle times and plan labour resources
  • Manage equipment preparation and lead times across various vendors ensuring goods arrive in time
  • Communicate with New Equipment prep sites, vendors, and sales support reps regarding anticipated ship dates
  • Coordinate and process paperwork for inbound equipment shipments from factories and ports of entry to Canada
  • Participate in production meetings with sales support and service coordinators to drive order cycle time
  • Work with the Sales team to create forecasts for order deliveries for each month and quarter; evaluate capacity in relation to the forecast
  • Analyze production data, cycle time and capital throughput data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Update CRM and AX ERP systems with pertinent information regarding customer orders
