Miller Technology is an ISO-9001 Certified Company. We are looking for an ambitious and team-oriented individual to join Miller Technology as an Production Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONSX:
- Experience in an ISO certified manufacturing setting, automotive manufacturing considered an asset but not required.
- Experience with Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Quality Management considered an asset but not required.
- Safety focused and detail oriented.
- Mechanical aptitude would be an asset.
- Ability to read and understand schematics considered an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production processes in an ERP system including inventory control.
- Strong team member who can work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
- Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
- Experience with Made2Manage program desirable but not required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to production changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Enthusiastic, willing to learn and grow professionally within the organization.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Our goal is for you to assist with us improving our production and documentation for both our diesel and EV offerings, thereby supporting the development of vehicle manufacturing and EVs within Northern Ontario. The role requires high level communication skills, familiarity with ISO-9001, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management. Documentation control and data integrity knowledge is considered an asset. Role will be mostly desk based involving navigation of paperwork and digital systems. Occasional hands-on work will be required such as production support through part picking, Quality Inspections, and inventory control. The hands-on aspect of the role will require the applicant to wear PPE (safety glasses, safety boots and gloves).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze all parts and labour costs associated with jobs.
- Review customer quotes and compare production work orders.
- Plan manufacturing capacity for job demand for stock and sales.
- Review Bills of Materials to release production work orders.
- Review production labour estimates vs actual and make recommendations
- Update standard costing and routing steps in ERP
- Prepare cost analysis reporting for all major jobs including finalizing all closing costs.
- Attend regular production meetings to discuss the progress, problems, and solutions
- Manage production-related documentation and records
- Keep tabs on the inventory and order placement for maintaining optimal stocks.
- Liaising with the Engineering Department to ensure Bills of Materials are updated and current.
- Liaising with the Procurement Department for parts availability for all jobs.
- Liaising with the Production Manager for released work order timelines.
- Reporting to Manager, Administration
- Other duties as assigned.
