About the Role
This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations our Newsroom.

Reporting into the Senior Production Managers within the World News Admin team, you will:

  • Work closely with the Scheduling Supervisor in making roster changes, communicating changes with staff.
  • Complete a range of administrative tasks, including invoice processing, expense reconciliations, account/subscription management & minor procurement.
  • Monitor, action & archive the News Admin Inbox, maintain DocHub & other file management systems.
  • Plan and book all staff domestic travel including preparing risk assessments and assist with international travel when required.
  • Facilitate contractor engagement, including preparing contracts, contractor induction, invoice management & payment.
  • Manage staff on-boarding, including new starter orientation & training programs.
  • Contribute to Newsroom training planning, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with the planning & delivery of Newsroom events, including organising catering.
  • Provide support as required to the Production Managers, News teams and assist staff with queries and requests.

About You

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Strong production administration experience, ideally with an understanding of broadcast or news & current affairs operations.
  • Familiarity with rostering platforms and a working knowledge of rostering principals & compliance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contract management.
  • Confidence in liaising with a high number of internal & external stakeholders, at times under broadcast critical conditions.
  • A strong, engaging communicator, a resourceful critical thinker capable of responding in a deadline-driven environment.
