Assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day activities such as coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments of the branch according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors and other co-workers to determine progress of work and completion dates; and reporting on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

Essential Functions

  • Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel & and material requirements, and material priorities
  • Confer with employees, vendors, and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
  • Requisition & maintain inventories of material and supplies necessary to meet production demands
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, sales, production, and engineering
  • Schedule customers daily for installs, repairs, and field estimates.
  • Review daily work orders and or tickets that are turned in by the technicians.
  • Ensure deliveries arrive at the correct time and are unloaded and inspected for damages and or missing items
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Products, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications preferred
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail required
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to multi-task

Physical Demands

The role frequently involves sitting, walking, standing, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with arms and hands.

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment. It routinely involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, and filing systems. Occasional business travel may be required.
