For more information about the University, please visit https://www.hkmu.edu.hk We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences: We are seeking passionate and skilled freelance crew members to join a 70–90 minute film production project designed to provide current students with hands-on experience in scriptwriting and filmmaking, in collaboration with educators. The following positions are open for recruitment: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Art Director - Developing and overseeing the overall visual concept of the film in collaboration with the director; - Designing sets, props, and production design elements to support the narrative and aesthetic; and - Managing budgets and schedules for art department deliverables. Costume Designer - Designing and purchasing costumes that reflect character, period, and style requirements; - Collaborating with the director and art director to ensure costumes align with the film’s visual concept; and - Sourcing, fitting, and maintaining costumes throughout production. Candidates Candidates are expected to possess the following: Art Director - A recognized bachelor’s degree in Film, Fine Arts, Design, or related discipline; - Proven experience in art direction or production design for film or media projects; - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; and - Ability to manage budgets, deadlines, and work independently. Costume Designer - A recognized bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Theatre Arts, or related discipline; - Proven experience in costume design for film, theatre, or media productions; - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; and - Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
