Job Title: Production Director

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Production Director is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing processes, ensuring that all products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, the role requires managing the homologation process, ensuring that all products meet the necessary regulatory and compliance requirements for all markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management in an automotive industry, a deep understanding of global regulatory standards, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in homologation and regulatory compliance, particularly in automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles,
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and production management software.
Responsibilities
  • Production Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of the production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and delivery.
  • Ensure that production targets are met within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.
  • Implement and optimise lean manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
  • Homologation and Compliance:
  • Lead the homologation process for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in all target markets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations, including safety, environmental, and technical standards.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and testing laboratories to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure ongoing compliance with changing regulations.
