Primary Duties: · Draft parts in 2D as well as 3D for production drawings and nesting software. · Create efficient 2D nests for cutting table(s), minimize yield loss, in a timely manner according to the production schedule. · Maintain plate inventory including ERP picking, and advise purchasing of requirement shortages (demand projections) · Work with QC to approve ASME plate materials. · Design and optimize production piping assemblies (P&ID) · Create marked up/as built drawings. · Create fabrication ready detail drawings. · Conceptualize jigs, fixtures, and production equipment. · Drive continual improvement for administrative and production processes. · Maintain revision level control for drawings and CAD files. · Utilize modeling and ERP software to populate material listings. (Inventor preferred but not required). Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software. Ability to read, interpret and develop blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports for content and accuracy. Knowledge of fabrication processes a plus. Skills: Good problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills Working precisely and paying close attention to detail. Ability to communicate professionally with personnel inside and outside the organization. Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ISO / Quality: Maintain and adhere to department responsible QMP’s. Interface with auditors during internal and certification audits Assure that any CA/PA’s assigned to department are completed, implemented, and closed in a timely fashion. Support Continual Improvement Projects and Activities, recommend CI activity to Lead Engineer Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require some travel. Work may require evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities
