The Marketing and Communications team is seeking a new Production Editor to draft and edit marketing and public relations messaging that enhances the visibility of public works. This position has a primary role in supporting APWA Press’s mission to enhance members’ and nonmembers’ educational experience and professional development by publishing the highest quality technical booklets, manuals, coursework supplements, and other materials. About the Role: This Production Editor is responsible for managing all aspects of proofreading, editing, writing, layout design, and production for the association’s publications. The role also coordinates volunteer author activities in the development of technical and managerial publications for the APWA Store. In addition, this position plays a key role in producing internal communications, supporting email campaigns, and providing editing services to departments across the organization to ensure the creation of high-quality, professional written materials. What You Will Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or communications, At least 3 years of experience working in a publications production environment with increasing responsibility, Strong project management experience, Solid communication and tech skills, Experience with Office 365 and InDesign, Association experience is a plus!
