    Job Description
    We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly communicative Production Engineer to join our dynamic team at ADaPT. In this role, you will act as an essential link primarily between industry stakeholders and our research capabilities, transforming innovative ideas into tangible prototypes and commercially viable products.
    This role involves a high level of manual handling, requiring the ability to safely lift, move, and manage various materials and equipment on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leading and supporting design, development, and prototyping projects from initial concept through validation and production, adhering to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Developing expertise in advanced 3D printing and manufacturing technologies, utilising diverse materials including polymers, metals, resins, and ceramics.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and adopting best engineering practices across all activities.
  • Acting as a key liaison, engaging regularly and effectively with industry partners, external suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to undergraduate and postgraduate research students.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of design processes, prototyping, production activities, and equipment management.
