They are seeking experienced Production Engineer to join their team at Ingleburn NSW.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years in a technical hands-on installations role (if only trade qualified)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge of construction, LPG and Industrial gas properties, pipeline and vessel installations, regulatory matters and standards
  • Sound working knowledge of construction, GA drawings, P&ID’s
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software packages
  • Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills
  • General understanding of construction, gases, bulk installations, gas production and cylinder filling

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

As a Production Engineer you will provide engineering and technical support and carry out the projects from design through to the commissioning and handover. You will however have a varied role working with Supagas’ technical and operation teams as well as site contractors on other projects

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embody the ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities
  • Adapt, promote, and encourage a Safety-First approach
  • Manage engineering projects across the entire project life cycle, including scoping, planning and design documents, risk assessments, contract management, and close-out
  • Development of technical project documentation, such as site layouts, P&IDs, equipment general arrangement plans (GA`s) functional descriptions, equipment lists, datasheets and other application design documents to ensure suitability and compliance
  • Participate in various building and gas system designs
  • Specification review to develop project scope and customer requirements
  • Manage and co-coordinate contractors across multiple work fronts and disciplines
  • Procurement of materials and services and ongoing interaction with suppliers
  • Communication with customers as directed by the project manager
  • Pre-planning & resource forecasting
  • Develop and maintain construction/ installation schedule
  • Cost tracking; managing budgets and forecasts
  • Liaise with the internal stakeholders, community, council and service authorities
  • Complete site inspections as required.
  • Generate SWMS’ when required
  • Other duties as requested from time to time
