BOWA MEDICAL UK is a subsidiary of , with our UK production arm focusing on the design and manufacture of LOTUS, our patented ultrasonic scalpels. Currently based in Ashburton, 2025 brings a year or change as we relocate to a new purpose built facility in Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Engineer with a specialism in Electronics & Acoustics, to oversee the manufacturing of high-quality medical devices. The ideal candidate prioritises quality and continuous improvement, is accountable for driving efficiency, optimising workflows whilst maintaining compliance with all industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Process Optimisation: Analyse and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Production Planning: Develop and implement production processes that ensure timely delivery of products.
Equipment Management: Define the maintenance, calibration, and validation of production equipment.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during production.
Documentation: Accurately complete required documentation, including BOM’s, routings, maintenance documents, and quality checklists.
Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality Control, and Production Management teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Training: Train and mentor engineering & production staff on best practices and new procedures.
Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with ISO, FDA, and other relevant regulations.
