Description Position Summary: The Production Engineer is the strategic lead responsible for the management, technical development, and accountability of the Drafting team. This role ensures operational excellence by bridging the gap between design standards and manufacturing execution. The primary focus is to drive team performance through consistent mentorship, workload optimization, and the relentless pursuit of accuracy and efficiency. Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable all Drafters Meeting with each Drafter 1X per week for 15-30 minute 1-1 check in. Discuss performance, questions, opportunities for growth Facilitate Weekly Drafter Peer Meeting - best practices, training, IDS (identify, discuss, solve) Manage the drawing schedulers to evenly distribute work according to Customer/Company standards Point of contact for assistance with design standards Striving for efficiency improvements and corrective action to reduce errors Auditing drawings - ensuring accuracy & consistency Facilitate and lead training for new hires. Responsible for compliance: regulations, codes, practices, policies, SOP Requirements Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Structural/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience Background of Continuous Improvement action Strong knowledge of Leadership Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Embraces and promotes CDI values – FAST, FUN, EASY, COMMUNITY, GROWTH Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and fellow staff Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations Ability to manage conflict for growth Creative Solution generation aptitude / Strong problem solving ability Excellent written and oral communication skills
