Job Summary Responsible for end-to-end production management in an EMS environment, ensuring delivery of production targets with high quality, optimal cost, and operational excellence. Leads multiple production lines (SMT, THT, Box Build) with focus on continuous improvement, people development, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Strategy & Execution Plan and execute production in line with business targets and customer demand Drive capacity planning, line balancing, and throughput improvement Monitor and improve OEE, FPY, UPH, Cycle Time Handle high-mix / low-volume and mass production environments 2. Leadership & Team Management Lead a large team (Supervisors, Engineers, Operators) Develop second-line leadership (line leaders, shift in-charges) Conduct performance reviews and skill development plans Drive accountability and ownership culture 3. Process Excellence & Improvement Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen initiatives Identify bottlenecks and drive process optimization Reduce rejection, rework, and material wastage Lead cost-saving and productivity improvement projects 4. Quality & Customer Focus Ensure adherence to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) Drive Zero Defect mindset and improve First Pass Yield Handle customer audits and internal audits Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major quality issues 5. Production Planning & Material Coordination Work closely with Planning, SCM, and Stores teams Ensure material availability and smooth production flow Optimize WIP levels and avoid excess inventory Support demand fluctuations and urgent customer requirements 6. Equipment & Technology Management Oversee SMT (Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow), Wave soldering, Assembly lines Ensure preventive maintenance and minimum downtime Drive automation and digitalization initiatives (MES, traceability) 7. Safety, Compliance & Audits Ensure strict implementation of ESD, Safety, 5S practices Maintain compliance with ISO, customer, and regulatory requirements Lead internal and external audits 8. Reporting & KPI Management Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs Present production performance to senior management Drive corrective actions based on data analysis Key Skills Required Strong expertise in SMT, PCB Assembly, and Box Build Deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM Excellent leadership and decision-making skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Experience in ERP/MES systems Customer handling and audit exposure Qualifications B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics / Mechanical / Production Engineering Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) Experience Requirement 8-10 years in EMS / Electronics Manufacturing Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role (handling multiple lines/teams) Experience in handling customer audits and high-volume production
