What you’ll do: This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and evaluating new and ongoing FoM operations to improve product quality, increase productivity, and reduce costs: · Assists planning, determining, coordinating, and controlling the production process. · Reviews, diagnoses, and solves problems interfering with manufacturing operation on a daily basis. · Ensures FoM operations follow ISO standards, standard work instructions, standard manufacturing processes, test specifications, and objectives. · Delivers engineering solutions for operational needs. · Implements project plans in a timely manner. · Identifies and mitigates risks in FoM processes. · Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends through statistical methods; · Identifies and leads cost-reduction initiatives; · Collaborates with outside vendors and provides estimates on tooling costs and manufacturing resources; · Represents the EST Department at customer and product development meetings and ensures effective implementation to meet customer needs. · Promotes development of Lean manufacturing tools that will lead and drive a continuous improvement culture; · Helps build a strong and efficient teamwork culture within the FloraCraft and EST Team by being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, high-achieving and fun. · Mentors and helps develop novice production engineers. · Provides effective leadership by example; · Ensures safety standards are consistently followed; · Performs other job responsibilities as required. What you’ll need: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/production; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Thorough knowledge and understanding of Plex Manufacturing software (or ability to learn) · Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); · SolidWorks CAD experience (or ability to learn) · PLC and controls programming capability (or ability to learn) · Strategic planning and thinking · Effective problem solver · Understands and utilizes Lean Manufacturing principles · Leadership and team building · Strong and clear communication abilities · Project leadership or management experience · Manufacturing knowledge · Standardized document and report writing (SOPs, WIs, Safety Documents; P&IDs) · Experience with statistical analysis, SPC, and DOE · Execute experiments, analyze results, and report significance of findings with proposed next steps · Proactive self-starter able to identify opportunities · High initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn · Possesses strong written and oral communication skills Why Join Us? · Competitive wages · Opportunity to work with a great culture · Great Benefits - vacation, volunteer time-off, medical, dental, vision, FSA, company-provided life insurance and short-term disability, company sponsored long-term disability, job-related tuition reimbursement, 401(k) and profit sharing
