Production Engineer Hynds Pipe Systems | Pokeno, Waikato | Full-time | Night shift About the role Join Hynds Pipe Systems — one of New Zealand's leading infrastructure product manufacturers — as a Production Engineer at our Pokeno facility. Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement, own project planning end-to-end, and champion quality right first time across our precast manufacturing operation. This is a permanent night shift position. An initial period of day shift training will be provided to ensure you are fully set up for success before transitioning to nights. What you'll do Plan and coordinate production to meet daily and weekly manufacturing schedules Allocate and supervise work across teams, monitor output, downtime, waste and rework Ensure product specifications, inspection and testing plans are strictly met Raise and close out non-conformance reports promptly Drive continuous improvement in processes, QC/QA systems and BOM accuracy Optimise labour and machine utilisation and manage workcentre costs against budget Maintain a safe workplace, complete H&S inspections and promote a strong safety culture What you'll bring Civil or Construction Engineering degree (or equivalent) 3–5 years' experience in precast or production engineering In-depth technical knowledge of precast manufacturing processes Proven continuous improvement and process management background Strong H&S compliance knowledge in a manufacturing environment Excellent communication, reporting and MS Office skills Full New Zealand driver's licence Why Hynds?
