Description
Position:                     Production Engineer Reports To:                 Manufacturing Engineering Manager Status:                        Exempt (Salary) Pay Range:                $65,000 to $80,000 per year   ROLE   As part of Enstrom’s Operations Team, the Production Engineer will perform and coordinate quality, manufacturing and industrial tasks to support helicopter production.   TASKS * Leads production activities associated with defective materials, components and assemblies including prioritizing, verifying, dispositioning and tracking defects * Leads root cause analysis and corrective action for internal manufacturing defects * Coordinates with Product Engineering and supports root cause analysis and corrective action for supplier and product defects * Supports industrial engineering by leading time studies and creating and verifying time standards * Tracks and reports KPIs * Supports continuous improvement activities and goals for production * Collaborates with all Enstrom teams including Planning, Production, Quality, Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering * Complies with all safety, quality and production requirements * Performs other duties as required   REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * 3 years manufacturing * 2 years manufacturing processes including machining and assembly * 2 years measurement equipment use and calibration * Demonstrated continuous improvement in production environment * Problem solving and root cause analysis method (5 Whys, FTA, Fishbone, A3) * Associate’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical or industrial engineering * 2D and 3D CAD * GD&T print reading * Work instruction understanding and adherence * MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel   PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Aircraft manufacturing * FAA regulations * Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical or industrial engineering * Sheet metal, fiberglass, welding and painting * Solidworks CAD and CAM * GD&T print creation * Work instruction generation
