JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronic / Mechantronic. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Understand manufacturing concepts like Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM) etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Power platform applications (Power BI, Power Automate etc..)
  • Proficient in Internet of Things (IOT), Industrial Networking, Arduino microcontroller / Raspberry Pi prototyping
  • Proficient in Industrial control, robotics, and automation systems
  • Proficient in Python, JavaScript, SQL database, Node-Red programming
  • Understanding of machine learning / artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and methodologies is a plus

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Oversee and manage manufacturing equipment, processes, and operators, ensuring effective production and quality products.
  • Develop and drive digital transformation and Industry 4.0 / SMART Factory initiatives through digital solutions development.
  • Perform data engineering and analysis to generate actionable insights from machines and software systems for real time decision making.
  • Formulate and implement an efficient material handling system for efficient storage and movement of raw material, semi-finished and finished product within the factory.
  • Perform engineering analysis to reduce defects and improve product quality.
  • Investigate production problems, analyse root causes, implement corrective actions and preventative actions.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Develop standard operating procedures to improve and maximise production capacity, quality, and manpower utilisation.
  • Develop and train operators and technicians
  • Drive new productivity or efficiency improvement projects or development. For example, lean manufacturing, quality, and SMART manufacturing projects.
  • Formulate and implement company 5S and safety policies to create a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
