Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We’re seeking a passionate Materials Engineer to lead R&D projects, optimize material performance, and solve complex challenges. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn concepts into breakthrough products, particularly in thermal spray engineering which includes Plasma, HVOF and Cold Spraying.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Investigate physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites using advanced techniques (e.g., SEM, XRD, mechanical testing), analyze material behavior under extreme conditions (e.g., high temperature, corrosion), and document findings in technical reports.
2.Assess materials for strength, durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability to meet engineering and commercial goals; design and develop novel materials (e.g., corrosion-resistant alloys, high-thermal-conductivity ceramics) to meet performance standards.
3.Optimize manufacturing processes (e.g., thermal spraying, 3D printing) to enhance efficiency, quality, and lightweight performance.
4.Collaborate with design, production, QA teams, and external suppliers to align material solutions with technical and business requirements.
5.Investigate product failures to identify root causes (e.g., material defects, process issues), propose data-driven solutions through lab testing, and conduct feasibility studies for new materials and processes.
6.Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASTM) and integrate sustainable practices into material development.
