QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and production planning systems (ERP/MRP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To oversee, plan, and optimize production processes in a heavy industrial setting, ensuring efficient manufacturing, quality control, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet quality and output targets.
  • Analyze production data and trends to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational issues on the shop floor in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with design, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to ensure product and process alignment.
  • Prepare production reports and maintain records of production performance, downtime, and maintenance.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects (e.g., 5S, Six Sigma).
  • Assist in the training and supervision of production staff and operators.
