BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Pektron Group Ltd is searching for a Production Engineer who will, through the use of design, quality and lean tools ensure that all products are made efficiently and to the defined quality level using new and existing technologies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A qualification in an Engineering based subject.
You will need to be multi skilled, with experience of working on several different processes
You will need to have worked in a Manufacturing facility with manual and automated processes.
Good knowledge of 3D Cad (ideally Catia but Solidworks would also be acceptable)
Experience gained in the automotive sector would be an advantage

Responsibilities
  • To identify at concept and through design intervention, process and equipment to ensure that the product is manufacturable to the required quality and cost.
  • Jig & Fixture Design including programming fixtures, leak test fixtures and assembly fixtures using 3D Cad
  • To use existing process knowledge and to learn and develop expertise in other process functions e.g. laser welding, laser marking, robotic assembly and dispensing.
  • Creating clear operator instructions to ensure a standardised manufacturing method.
  • Creating process flow documents, PFMEAs, process layouts
  • Production support for process concerns (including machinery).
  • Responding to customer returns/concerns (8Ds) using thorough root cause analysis and levelling up areas of the process which are weak and have caused concerns.
  • Working with key customers on projects
