Pentair Industrial Solutions business unit is experiencing significant growth. One of Pentair’s strategic growth pillars is the Biogas area. The projects will be engineered and produced at our Pentair sites or at an approved supplier. Pentair - Sustainable Gas Solutions (SGS) is specialized within CO₂ recovery solutions and Biogas upgrading solution. Pentair helps its clients to lower their carbon footprint and energy bills, and currently we serve customers in more than 150 countries worldwide. To achieve further growth, we are looking for a:
MECHANICAL / INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER (m/f/d)

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES

  • MBO level, supplemented with technical knowledge of machining operations, materials and required systems.
  • Knowledge of tools such as PLM Software, ERP Software, MS Office
  • 3 years of experience minimum as a Production Engineer
  • Knowledge of Visual Welding Inspection (basic) and/or CE PED knowledge is preferred, not required
  • Advanced level in English
  • Independent, proactive, flexible and determined and resilient to stress.
  • Team-player who enjoys working closely with others and thrives in a team environment.
  • Creative in finding solutions, with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work internationally (~30%).
Responsibilities
  • Provides input during the sales phase regarding planning and lead time concerning production to the Production Manager ML. Evaluates the design in the quotation phase for manufacturability and feasibility for the Production department. Acts as a key figure between the Project team and the Production department.
  • Planning: the Production Engineer will follow up on the workplan and will have dedicated Production Gemba’s with the production facility. Develops a project control plan and an overarching schedule for the entire phasing within production and the execution of tasks. Monitors the progress of projects within production and takes action in case of (imminent) schedule overruns or production bottlenecks. Coordinates production-related activities between project teams and the production department, both internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Work preparation: Determines the production routing, coordinates external production tasks. Transfers drawings, the overarching schedule, and work instructions to the subcontractor and discusses any ambiguities. He / She guides them through the production process to ensure quality requirements are being met (also using production Gemba’s). Enters order requests and associated information from Engineering into the system. Orders materials and services per phase for the execution of tasks at internal and external production sites through the Purchasing department. Ensures timely delivery of ordered materials so that everything is available at the desired moment. Prepare pick lists for materials and parts needed in various production phases. Maintain contact with the Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse departments for planning and desired delivery times.
  • Quality: will follow-up on the production quality by; ensuring the correct work instructions and specifications are provided and perform in-production audits. He / She is also responsible for performing mechanical inspections, I/O test with E&A department and

Commissioning Inspection. Upfront releasing the unit/project for shipment, the Production Engineer will organize and lead the Go/No Go meeting according to procedure. In case of any outstanding punches, the Production Engineer will follow up on the punch list.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identifies improvement opportunities in own work, work procedures, and processes within the department and translates these into optimization initiatives. Contributes to the implementation of improvements within own area of focus and/or the department and ensures securing, documentation, communication, and instruction within the department. Remains alert to identifying improvement points in procedures, processes, and the department’s services. Translates identified bottlenecks into initiatives aimed at optimizing own work.
  • Documentation: Support in the preparation of assembly, commissioning and operating manuals / checklists; ensuring the completeness and quality of the project end documentation in accordance with the required standards (e.g. PED, ASME, etc.). Collect the documentation package of the subcontractor / production facility and send it for approval to the Documentation Engineer.
  • Health & Safety: Complies with all applicable internal and client-specific Health & Safety standards and the resulting regulations and procedures when performing tasks. Ensures a clean and tidy workplace. Uses the provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to instructions. Reports unsafe situations to the supervisor.
