SKILLS, QUALTIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Experience: 1–3 years in a production, manufacturing, or process engineering role, ideally in an electro-mechanical environment.
· ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., implementation, master data, production modules). Experience in ERP rollouts is a strong plus.
· Documentation: Proven experience creating, standardising, and managing SOPs and work instructions.
· Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, lean principles, and quality systems (ISO 9001).
· Problem Solving: Solid analytical skills, with experience in RCA, PFMEA, and structured problem-solving techniques (A3, 5 Whys, DMAIC).
· Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor), and ERP systems.
· Strong Time Management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines and targets.
· Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset. Comfortable leading workshops or training sessions.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

· Priority 1: Support the successful implementation and adoption of a new ERP system across production. Assist in mapping existing processes, defining requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of production data, BOMs, routings, and quality controls.
· Priority 2: Audit, review, and standardise existing SOPs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with the ERP platform and lean manufacturing principles.
· Priority 3: Improve operational efficiency and product quality through documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives driven by accurate and current process documentation.
· Priority 4: Provide day-to-day production engineering support, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to maintain workflow and minimise downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain the documentation and mapping of production processes to support ERP configuration and data integrity.
· Collaborate with IT, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to define ERP system requirements and test functional workflows.
· Own the review and development of clear, concise, and effective SOPs, ensuring they are accessible, version-controlled, and aligned with quality standards.
· Maintain Bills of Materials and engineering documentation within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
· Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities linked to product and process.
· Ensure training material and shopfloor documentation reflect ERP processes and updated SOPs.
· Apply lean tools (5S, VSM, Kanban, visual management) to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
· Provide technical support for production areas, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and maintain work instructions, maintenance standards, and process flowcharts.
· Design or support the design of jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids where required.
· Support the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process and ensure related actions are accurately reflected in ERP and documentation.
· Work cross-functionally to support new product introductions with strong process and documentation foundations.
· Assist in supplier-related quality or delivery issues by supporting resolution and driving long-term fixes.
· Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
· Give Design for Manufacture/ Assembly inputs for new Product Development. Overseeing New Products Development/Introduction.
· To carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time.
