ROLE HIGHLIGHTS The Production Engineer is a critical role responsible for enhancing operational performance across our production facilities by focusing on capacity planning, process improvement, workflow optimization, and reliability engineering. This individual will analyze and improve production systems to ensure we meet growing customer demand with speed, precision, and profitability. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in high-performance manufacturing environments and is passionate about identifying bottlenecks, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead and execute capacity planning initiatives to optimize resource allocation, scheduling, and through put across all production and decoration methods. Conduct time sequence studies to identify inefficiencies and standardize best practices. Evaluate and optimize production workflows to maximize profitability and reduce lead times. Partner with production leadership to establish key performance metrics and develop actionable plans for improvement. Apply principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance reliability. Implement process improvements through data analysis, process mapping, and technology-driven solutions. Drive reliability engineering efforts by ensuring equipment uptime, process stability, and consistent quality. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance production planning systems and automation tools. Support the implementation of continuous improvement culture through training, documentation, and leadership. Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Skilled at building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization, to achieve strategic goals. Demonstrated experience with time studies, workflow optimization, and process reengineering. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, production modeling, and Excel (Power BI or ERP experience preferred). Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies; Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred. Proven track record in improving production efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational profitability. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and leadership levels. Hands-on, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE COMPUTER SKILLS Bachelor’s degree required in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ of experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial operations (apparel or decorated goods experience a plus). Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES May be required to have a valid driver’s license and meet Vantage Driver Approval requirements.
