Job Description The Production Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role operates within the Engineering organization and focuses on process design, new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing technology, and continuous improvement of production systems. The Production Engineer works cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and cost targets are achieved throughout the product lifecycle. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed documentation supporting production operations, including production drawings, workflows, and process documentation. Support transition of new products from design to production (NPI). Review the new production drawings released by Engineering and provide final production-readiness sign-off. Develop and maintain work instructions. Partner with Production to optimize DFM/DFA, reduce cost, and improve production scalability. Manage Engineering Change orders (ECOs) impacting production. Own and drive Engineering Investigation Reports (EIRs), ensuring timely root cause identification, corrective action implementation, and communication across Engineering and Production. Maintain and improve quality check sheets, inspection forms, and production quality processes for new and existing assemblies. Collaborate with Supply Chain on component selection, supplier qualification, and cost optimization initiatives. Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for all current and future equipment builds. Support the machine shop with Fixture Designs and tooling improvements. Review R&D and Engineering machining requests. Participate in Engineering design reviews to ensure documentation and processes meet production readiness and manufacturability requirements. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related fields) 2+ years working with industrial production. 2+ years of manufacturing experience. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. High proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software. Familiarity with 2D AutoCAD. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
