Production Engineering Manager, Stoneridge Örebro Plant

At Stoneridge, your future begins now when we are looking for a production engineering manager for our plant in Örebro.
As Production engineering manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering team in the development, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes in the plant.
This role focuses on improving production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness by driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for a team with approximately 20 employees, as production engineers, process engineers, test engineers, protype technicians and a mechanical workshop.
You report to the plant manager and are responsible for setting goals, following up and evaluating performance, and coaching and developing your team.
Your responsibility will be to lead and motivate the team, ensure that tasks get done, are distributed effectively and that employees have the right skills.
You are part of the factory’s management team, together with the Production manager, Logistics manager, Q manager and HR manager and manage the operational and strategic work.
Qualifications
Knowledge in electronics and experience from the automotive industry are advantageous
Personal competencies
In this role you need to have a great ability to manage and lead other people and to be able to coach and guide them to success.
The ability to see solutions and enjoy problem solving is valuable to the role. Also to have an interest in and curiosity about new technology.
As the role includes both short- and long-term work, it is an advantage to be able to balance the short-term with strategic work.
