Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In our Competence Center for Auxiliary Power Systems, we hold a leading position in the design and development of onboard converters and the associated electronic components for locomotives, high-speed trains, trams, buses, and much more.
The working time model for this position is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

Your main responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of new and standardized technological procedures for manufacturing processes, including process capability studies
  • Creation, implementation, and monitoring of manufacturing concepts to ensure delivery performance in accordance with schedule requirements, customer demands, budget guidelines, and quality standards
  • Conducting time and motion studies according to REFA/MTM to define and verify standard times, and independently initiating and leading continuous improvement projects (KVP) in production according to DMAIC
  • Performing effort and cost calculations during the proposal phase in collaboration with Sales, as well as for make-or-buy decision templates
  • Comprehensive coordination of product relocations within the group
  • Supporting engineering during the development and prototype phase of new products and deriving necessary additional documents, tools, fixtures, and similar items
  • Providing and monitoring the status of production-relevant documents such as drawings, bills of materials, wiring lists, assembly instructions before production start and during changes, and initiating corrective actions in case of deviations

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Completed university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in mechanical or technical engineering, logistics, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of specialized experience in work preparation/production engineering
  • REFA/MTM training
  • Several years of experience with MS Office and SAP
  • Fluent written and spoken in German and English language
