JOB SUMMARY

The Production Engineering Technician will perform a variety of tasks focused on assisting the production and operations groups. Responsibilities include data analysis, quality control on operations data, internal production reporting, cost tracking, and support in maintaining regulatory compliance. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in technical discipline preferred
  • Will also consider High School Diploma, with 4 yrs. of direct work experience, required

Specialized Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of production engineering concepts and operations subjects for E&P companies
  • Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, ProdView, WellView, OpenInvoice, SQL databases, MS Windows Office Suite
  • Familiar with ECMC/UDOGM rules and regulations

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with field operations, technical peers, and management
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and make decisions under time restrictions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Proactive approach to problem solving with high attention to detail
  • Team-oriented personality that is willing to collaborate with others

Industry Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of oil and gas experience

Responsibilities
  • Champion QB production reporting, ensuring data accuracy, and act as the team liaison between IT to troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Assist in regulatory submittals accompanying P&A, workover activities, bradenhead and other compliance processes
  • Track workover and P&A activity/costs, verify accurate invoice coding, and provide cost control support
  • Work with engineering, operations, and IT to improve and streamline data processes
  • Monitor well status to ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate with engineering staff and operations
  • Create tools and reports for all people within the company to better understand our production, lease operating expenses or other operational needs
  • Support Peloton ProdView, WellView, and Siteview configuration and use
  • Maintain WellView database and ensure wellbore diagrams are up to date on operated wells.
