POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Expeditor position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards building a quality product in the time allocated. The Production Expeditor role assists and provides back up support to the Supervisor and guides lead assemblers through daily operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Helps supervisor manage, guide, coach and adjust as needed to accomplish goal. Ensures outfitters are trained and follow safety requirements. Leads by example of how outfitters need to perform. Ensures outfitters are trained per their job duties and understand takt time. Supports outfitters with information needed. Provides outfitters with tools needed. Identifies and helps improve safety, quality, and delivery opportunities. Articulates problems, temporary containments, gap analysis, actions, and sustainment through an A3 process. Understands and maintains the ability to track SQDC metrics. Implements and maintains responsibilities of lead assemblers to ensure smooth workflow through department. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Years of experience: 2+ years preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with diverse groups Competent in math Problem solving skills Basic understanding of all department processes. Ability to influence and guide outfitters in the organization. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting, under 20 lbs. Light carrying, under 20 lbs. Moderate lifting, 21-59 lbs.
