Our client, HeatLink, has a manufacturing facility in Calgary producing plastic tubing for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
We are looking for Production Line & Mixing Operators who are comfortable working rotating shifts up to 12 hours per day or night including weekends. These positions will require skills in using equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging and other steps of our production line. These positions are also expected to handle heavy machinery such as forklifts.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain production flow and collaborate with the supervisor in charge to identify all process and equipment issues
  • Perform regular inspection for all equipment hazards
  • Recognize and respond to alarms monitoring production process and quality specifications
  • Accurately complete daily shift report
  • Knowledgeable of what an acceptable product has to be and must be able to identify irregularities in the product
  • Perform adjustments to the relevant extrusion line equipment
  • Maintain neat and clean area at all times and ensure compliance to all housekeeping standards
  • Shifts are 12 hours, including days, afternoons, nights and scheduled weekends
  • Premium pay is established for nights and weekends shifts

Qualifications:

  • One year or more of experience in a similar role
  • Plastics extrusions experience is a strong asset
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience working with technical machinery is an asset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Dependable and reliable with a high level of commitment
  • Interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good hand & eye coordination
  • Self-motivated team player capable of managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Forklift certification would be an asset - training would be provided for right candidate
  • WHIMIS certification/knowledge would be an asset
  • Legally able to work in Canada
